About Me
I'm Ashley McDow.
I am a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a girlfriend and a mother. A mother of an angel. I'm the lucky girlfriend of Mark, who I have been with for 6 years and a mother to a beautiful baby boy in heaven, Connor. I am always thinking about my son, I long for the day that I see him again. He was the best thing to happen to Mark and I and we are so proud to call ourselves his parents. We also have two cats named Sophie and Felix who are our fur babies!
I have an amazing family. They are always there for Mark and I and have helped us through the hardest time of our lives. My family has become a circle of love not broken by loss, but made stronger by the memories we remember.
I have never been a firm believer in much in my life. Normally I just get up, go to work, come home to eat, usually play some yahtzee with Mark and then go to sleep. My life usually just plays on repeat. Losing my son made me learn not to take things for granted and that things really do happen in your life for a reason. I have learned that my son had a different purpose. He didn't only make Mark and I stronger and more in love, but he brought our two families into one. I couldn't ask for a better son.

Do not judge the bereaved mother.
She comes in many forms.
She is breathing, but she is dying.
She may look young, but inside she has become ancient.
She smiles, but her heart sobs.
She walks, she talks, she cooks, she cleans, she works, she IS,
but she IS NOT, all at once.
She is here, but part of her is elsewhere for eternity
